Help-Portrait Event

I just wanted to share something that I've been organizing for this weekend - on Saturday, December 12, myself and several other photographers are donating free portrait sessions to people in need in the Burlington area. This is part of an initiative taking place all over the world on Saturday.

Help-Portrait, just to give you an idea, currently has around 1,700 photographers involved in over 260 different locations, including more than 40 different countries.

Thanks to our supporters:

Mike Worthington, Photographer
Raj Chawla, Photographer
Jeff Clarke, Photographer

Committee on Temporary Shelter
The Lund Family Center
Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program
Vermont Teddy Bear - for lending us photography equipment

PhotoGarden - for printing photos for the families! An incredibly generous offer.

And of course Judd, my partner in all things Eve, for helping to photograph this weekend.

Please shoot me an email if you are interested in getting involved, or if you know someone in need who would like a free portrait.

Find out more on Help-Portrait's site and on our Facebook page here.

August 1, 2009: Colleen & Matthieu, Chittenden, Vermont

In the upcoming - and relatively slow - winter months, we'll be posting a few of our favorite weddings from this past summer. One of my absolute favorites, Colleen and Matthieu's, took place at the Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden.

Judd photographed the groomsmen struggling to figure out how to fold their hankies...

T-minus twenty minutes!!

The ceremony took place just up the hill from the inn, overlooking the mountains.

Yummy chocolate table assignments - and gorgeous satin and pearl-wrapped flower bouquets.

After we got the formals out of the way we had a little more fun with some of the bridal party shots.

A festive reception followed outdoors.
