Engagement Session: Kristie & David

We shot Kristie and David's engagement session a couple weeks ago on the Burlington waterfront. The bench they're sitting on below is where David proposed to Kristie, and we also set up a mini-picnic after they told us about their romantic picnic near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Sweetest couple ever! Their wedding will be October 2 at the Sleepy Hollow Inn in Huntington. Enjoy!

Help-Portrait Event

I just wanted to share something that I've been organizing for this weekend - on Saturday, December 12, myself and several other photographers are donating free portrait sessions to people in need in the Burlington area. This is part of an initiative taking place all over the world on Saturday.

Help-Portrait, just to give you an idea, currently has around 1,700 photographers involved in over 260 different locations, including more than 40 different countries.

Thanks to our supporters:

Mike Worthington, Photographer
Raj Chawla, Photographer
Jeff Clarke, Photographer

Committee on Temporary Shelter
The Lund Family Center
Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program
Vermont Teddy Bear - for lending us photography equipment

PhotoGarden - for printing photos for the families! An incredibly generous offer.

And of course Judd, my partner in all things Eve, for helping to photograph this weekend.

Please shoot me an email if you are interested in getting involved, or if you know someone in need who would like a free portrait.

Find out more on Help-Portrait's site and on our Facebook page here.

June 6, 2009: Erin & Adam, Stowe, Vermont

My apologies for the long absence - June was a busy month for us! Here are a few select images from our first wedding of the season. Erin and Adam were married at Edson Hill Manor in Stowe. There were some threatening clouds during the afternoon but thankfully the rain stayed away. It was a small, intimate wedding set in a lovely location. Julie Blanner from Coordinately Yours has posted several of our detail photos on her blog here. Congratulations, Erin and Adam!

I love the anticipation and joy in this image.

Erin checks herself out in a car window just before the ceremony. Bit nervous, maybe? :)

The happy couple!

Gabrielle & Bryan

Judd and I photographed Gabrielle & Bryan's wedding last July, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity last weekend to photograph the newest member of their family: 4 month-old Roman, their restless but adorable golden retriever puppy.

We took him out for a romp in the snow in St. Albans on Saturday afternoon...

Gabrielle chucks a snowball at Roman...

And it turns out to be a great shot!

Guess what the word is? That's right: "No!"

Roman chewed on just about everything, from the snow to fallen twigs to his leash.

Thanks so much Gabrielle & Bryan! It was great to see you again and we are so happy to see firsthand the joy Roman has brought into your lives!
